We all know that drinking lots of water during the day has plenty of health benefits, and can even help you lose weight.  But unfortunately, there are many differences in the type of water we drink throughout the day, especially when it comes to bottled water.  Then when you add any tap water that is consumed, our bodies’ water consumption includes many different water compositions.

Drinking plenty of alkaline water daily is one of the best ways to promote great health and reach your ideal weight. There are many brands of alkaline water in the stores today.  The most popular is Fiji Water.  This alkaline water has a PH of 7.5 to 7.8.

If you remember from high school science class, PH is the measure of acidity versus alkalinity in water.  Alkaline water has a PH of > 7.  It is more alkaline that normal water with has a PH of 7 or so.

Alkaline water is very expensive to buy.  For example Fiji Water on average costs $2.50 for a liter bottle.  Other brands sell for similar prices.  The most expensive alkaline water is the brands that promote the highest PH number. I’ve seen many bottles that contain alkaline water in the 8 PH range.

Drinking this type of water has many benefits.  Alkaline water is an excellent antioxidant due the a negative oxidation reduction potential that can raise the oxygen levels in your body.  These processes help to neutralize the acidic foods and drinks you eat during the day.  Meat, soda, candy, coffee, beer, are all highly acidic.  Drinking alkaline water through out the day will help to offset the acidic influences of these foods.

Additionally, drinking alkaline water helps to hydrate your body 5-7 times more than normal tap water.  Imagine having to drink 5 cups of tap water to get the same hydration as alkaline water.  The number is surprising.  You would be in the bathroom a lot more often during the day if you only drank tap water and wanted good hydration within your cells.

If your interested in drinking alkaline water here are a few tips.  First make sure that you are buying water from a well-known company.  Also do some research to find out where they get their water from.  Some times these companies will claim that they make their own alkaline water through proven research methods.  Our recommendation is to only buy alkaline water from sources that gather their water from natural sources, such as artesian wells.  Mother nature is the best scientist, and she has created the best water out there. Unfortunately, it’s only found in certain areas across the globe and most of these areas are owned by big businesses.

We recommend that you give alkaline water a taste. The taste itself is well worth it.  After that first taste, you’ll want more and will drink more.  This will be the greatest health reward as you’ll begin to feel healthier and feeling great!

Dr. Robert Young, pioneer of the Alkaline Diet, has shown that the acid-alkaline ratio of the food we eat is what leads to optimal health. What will an Alkaline Body Really Give Me?

An alkaline body has a balanced internal pH.  pH is the measure of concentrated hydrogen ions in a solution.  Research has shown that alkaline-balanced bodies tend to be more resilient against poor digestion, constant fatigue, excess weight, daily aches and pains, low energy, and much more.

The nutrients found in foods have been a critical piece of optimal health.  This was made known by the Surgeon General back in 1988. “Foods contain nutrients essential for normal metabolic function, and when problems arise, they result from imbalances in nutrient intake and from harmful interaction with other factors.  For the two out of three adults Americans who do not smoke and do not drink excessively, one personal choice seems to influence long-term health prospects more than any other; what we eat.”  (from the 1988 “Surgeon General’s Report on Health and Nutrition”)

Since our typical diet consists of mostly acidic foods,  our body has to offset the acidity by drawing upon alkaline-based mineral reserves, such as calcium and magnesium.  Calcium is most commonly found in the bones, and magnesium is located in muscle tissue.

Through an alkaline diet, our bodies become balanced.  An alkaline body eats 70-80% alkaline-rich foods each day, plus drinks alkaline water.  The remaining 20-30% is from acidic foods.  It’s important to know that eating the right amount of acidic foods is part of a healthy alkaline body diet.  It’s okay to have a cheeseburger or pizza every now and then.    You just need to monitor the amount of acidity that is consumed each day.

Through proper balance, an alkaline body achieves the ability to resist poor health.

In a study, it was noticed that attractive people leave a more powerful impression during an interview process, especially with the increased use of photo and video resumes.

Surveys have shown that attractiveness is determined by proximity, physical characteristics, abilities and confidence, and common interests.

With employment and attractiveness, being able, confident, and having common interests to your employer make all the difference.  They will sense your passion for activities that they are interested in and could reward your for it.
