The Subconscious Mind Can Make Things Easy

“I never made one of my discoveries through the process of rational thinking.”

Albert Einstein

The subconscious mind is defined as the thoughts that exist or operate beneath or beyond the normal mental awareness.  The word subconscious mind was created by the psychologist Pierre Janet. He found that the subconscious mind is credited with a mysterious or secret level of awareness and influence on a persons actions and desires.

Sigmund Freud, during his early discoveries, found that most psychological trauma existed and grew out of the subconscious mind. He was able to perform great healing by tapping into the deep memories of past events that created great fears, anxieties, and depression for his patients. His work on the subconscious mind is still used today.

Many medical professionals also refer to the subconscious mind as being a preconscious, where the instinctive actions and desires are rooted. The “flight or fight” type behavior originates in this sector of mental activity.

Improve Your Self Talk

Present research shows that the subconscious mind has tremendous power. It is capable of absorbing 11 million bits of information each second. Many scientists refer to it as the original supercomputer.  Similarly, like a computer processor, the subconscious runs the automatic programs of the body, such as breathing, heart beats, talking and so forth.  Most of the activities that we take for granted and barely notice are all performed by the subconscious mind.

Similar to our computers, the subconscious is programmable.  This section of the mind is programmed through repetition. For example, repetitive thoughts of “I’m fat” or “I’m ugly” will tell your mind to do what you are saying. So you’ll continue to be fat or you will continually feel like your ugly.

But, the same works for positive thinking. Thoughts of “I’m successful” or “I’m in great shape” will tell the mind to do just that, be successful and in great shape!

Upcoming generations will be using the power of the subconscious mind to a greater measure than what we see today.  The impact of our thoughts will be fully known and used for our own benefit.  Future generations will understand how to reprogram the subconscious.

The best known method to program the mind is meditation.  It’s benefits are widely known and have been used for thousands of years.
